Mira Concierge and Hello Patient both use AI to answer patients around the clock and book appointments into your EHR. Hello Patient is a multi-specialty front office that covers calls, texts, and web chat with one agent; Mira is built only for orthopedic practices, goes live within 48 hours of kickoff, and runs on one platform with intake, fax, documentation, and billing.
We build Mira, so we are not a neutral judge. Here is how we compared.
How we compared
We read each company’s own public pages and compared only what each publishes. We did not use review sites, leaked pricing, or secondhand claims. Where Hello Patient does not publish something, we say “Not published” or “Ask the vendor.” That means we could not find it on its public pages, not that it does not exist.
What we checked, October 2026:
- Channels: calls, texts, chat.
- Orthopedic call workflows: injury triage, workers’ comp, post-op, injections, imaging.
- EHR integrations named publicly.
- Languages.
- Go-live timeline.
- Pricing.
- Ways to try the product before buying.
Hello Patient pages we used:
Mira details come from our Mira Concierge page and how we deploy today.
What Mira Concierge does
Mira Concierge is the phone agent inside Mira, the AI operating system for orthopedic practices. It answers in under three rings, day and night, and it was configured around the calls an orthopedic front desk gets every week.
Acute injury triage by body part. A caller who rolled an ankle at practice gets asked about body part, side, mechanism, and when it happened. Concierge checks weight-bearing, swelling, numbness, and open wounds, then books an urgent fracture or sports slot or sends red flags to the ER under your rules. Visit length is set by body part so the schedule holds.
Workers’ comp intake. Concierge captures the employer, date of injury, and claim number on the call, collects the adjuster and nurse case manager name and phone, and books with a provider who sees workers’ comp. Your team gets a complete claim packet, not a callback list.
Post-op and global period routing. When a patient calls inside a 90-day global period, Concierge recognizes it. Urgent concerns go to the surgeon’s team or on-call. Routine first, second, and third post-op visits are booked with the surgeon or PA you choose.
Injection and imaging scheduling. Cortisone and viscosupplement series are booked with the right spacing. Concierge asks where and when the last MRI or X-ray was done, flags prior authorization needs before the visit, and routes outside imaging to the right chart.
Warm transfer with a spoken summary. When a call needs a person, staff hear a short summary before they pick up, so nobody asks the patient to start over. Urgent callers also trigger a text alert to a staff mobile.
Two-way texting. During a call, Concierge can text the patient from your practice number. A photo of an insurance card or an order texted back lands in the live conversation. Reminders, recalls, and pre-op instructions go out by call and text.
Languages. Concierge natively speaks English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Hindi, Russian, Japanese, and more.
EHR integration. Mira integrates natively with Epic, athenahealth, ModMed, eClinicalWorks, NextGen, and DrChrono, and builds new EHR integrations in one to four weeks. It works with your existing phone system, including VoIP, SIP, landlines, RingCentral, 8x8, and Vonage.
Go-live. We map your phone tree, scheduling rules, and EHR fields, run test calls with your team, and start answering within 48 hours of kickoff.
The rest of the practice. Concierge shares one platform with Mira Operations (intake and inbound fax), Mira Scribe (documentation), and Mira RCM (coding, claims, and denials). The referral called in and the MRI report faxed in end up on the same patient record.
What Hello Patient is and who it is for
Hello Patient is an AI front office for healthcare and related services. Its agent, Mia, is “trained and tailored to take over your SMS and call workflows,” and its homepage says its agents pick up every call, text, and chat.
Its strengths, from its own pages:
- Three channels, one agent. Calls, texts, and web chat run through Mia. For practices that get a lot of website traffic, chat as a first-class channel is a real advantage.
- Broad specialty coverage. Its homepage says it is “proven with 1000’s of providers across 20+ specialties,” and lists dentistry, dermatology, ENT, mental health, optometry, primary care, urgent care, and veterinary care.
- A long integration list. It names Epic, ModMed, eClinicalWorks, athenahealth, NextGen, AdvancedMD, Veradigm, and others, plus CRM tools such as Braze and Customer.io.
- Front office workflows beyond the phone. It lists 24/7 scheduling, insurance verification and intake, no-show rescheduling, recall and outreach campaigns, and an RCM assistant for bill pay.
- A demo anyone can try. Its live demo lets you talk to or text Mia without booking a meeting. That is a confident move, and buyers should use it.
- Published usage. It reports over a million conversations across calls and messages.
Hello Patient is built for multi-specialty groups, multi-location consumer health brands, and practices that want calls, texts, and chat handled by the same agent.

When Hello Patient is the better fit
- You run many specialties or brands. If orthopedics is one line among dental, dermatology, primary care, or others, one front office agent across all of them is simpler.
- Web chat matters to you. If a large share of your patients start on your website, Mia handles chat alongside calls and texts. Mira Concierge does not run a website chat channel.
- You mainly want a front office layer. If you are happy with your current intake, documentation, and billing vendors and only want the phones and messages covered, a focused front office product may be all you need.
- Your EHR is on its list and not on ours yet. Hello Patient names AdvancedMD, Veradigm, and others. We build new integrations in one to four weeks, but if you cannot wait, check its list.
- You want to try it with no meeting at all. Its public live demo is an easy first step.
When Mira is the better fit
- You are an orthopedic practice. Workers’ comp intake, global period routing, injury triage by body part, and injection spacing are built in, not configured from scratch.
- You need to be live this week. Mira Concierge goes live within 48 hours of kickoff.
- You want one vendor from first call to paid claim. Concierge books the visit, Mira Operations handles intake and inbound fax, Mira Scribe documents the encounter, and Mira RCM codes, submits, and follows up on the claim.
- Your staff wants context on every transfer. Staff hear a spoken summary before they pick up, and urgent callers trigger a text alert.
- Your patients speak many languages. Concierge natively speaks English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Hindi, Russian, Japanese, and more.
Seven questions to ask any vendor
These are the questions we would want a practice to ask us too. Ask them of every vendor on your list, and get the answers in writing.
-
What share of calls resolve without staff, in a setting like ours? An answer rate counts pickups. Ask how many calls end with the patient’s need fully met and no staff touch, measured at an orthopedic practice of your size.
-
How do you handle orthopedic calls specifically? Ask the vendor to walk through a workers’ comp new patient with an adjuster and nurse case manager, and a post-op patient inside a 90-day global period. Then ask whether that logic exists today or would be built for you.
-
What is the go-live timeline in writing for our EHR? “No IT team required” is useful to know. A date tied to your EHR and your number of locations is more useful.
-
Are there EHR vendor fees on top? Some EHR vendors charge their own per-provider or per-connection fees for third-party integrations. Ask who pays them and whether they are in the quote.
-
Can we hear a recorded call in our specialty before we sign? A live demo shows the voice. A recorded orthopedic call shows the workflow.
-
What happens when a call needs a person? Ask what your staff hears or sees before they pick up, and whether the patient has to repeat themselves.
-
What else will we still need to buy? Intake, inbound fax, documentation, coding, and denials are often separate vendors. Count every contract you will hold after go-live.
See it on your calls
Try Hello Patient’s live demo. Then bring your five hardest orthopedic call types, including a post-op patient inside a global period and a workers’ comp new patient, and we will run them live on Mira Concierge. If Hello Patient is the better fit for you, we will say so. See Mira Concierge or book a demo.
